The 48hours film finalist was announced this morning. Our short film is in the finals!
Public screening is on 27th, Wednesday at 8:30pm at Chartwell Skycity Cinema.(once only)
We are very excited to see our work on the big screen along with other outstanding 11 finalists from Waikato.
“48HOURS is officially NZ’s largest film competition! There is nothing quite like it.
It’s a cinematic bootcamp but instead of drill sergeant screaming obscenities at you, it’s the constant tick-tock of the countdown clock drilling into your mushy brain. 48HOURS is a serious challenge for both first time filmmakers through to experienced directors.
Simply put, filmmaking teams have just one weekend to make a short film.
Filmmakers don’t know what genre (thriller/romance etc) they will be shooting until the start of the competition. All creativity: writing, shooting, editing and adding a musical soundtrack, must occur within the 48 hour window beginning Friday evening at 7pm and ending Sunday at 7pm. To add to the mayhem, they must also include some random elements.” – 48hours Film Intro
Our team is called Ninjia Ginger Productions. We had a crew of 8 awesome people. The final movie has to be under 7mins, and it must be completed from scratch within a very strict time frame of 48 hours; Fri 7pm-Sun 7pm. And yes, we handed in just on time.
Here are some of our production shots for 48 Hours Film 2009.

Congratulations to the newly-weds, Richard and Bailey.
Bailey came to us to “rescue” the photos she had received from an unpopular wedding photographer last month. Borden, using some of his post production magic and creativity, managed to breath new life into these old photos. After making the final changes he organised them into a beautiful wedding album while working with the gifted people at Queensberry.
We received this wonderfully crafted Wedding Album last week.
Here is a quick preview of her 14X10 album. Note the Ivory white matting, transparency title page and decorative white corners. The photographs are displayed in the Overlay style.
It has been a while since my last blog entry. Finally I have upgraded our word press to 2.7.1.
Here are two new photos that I shot during Balloon over Waikato night glow 09 at University of Waikato. The weather was perfect, the whole scene was extremely colorful and amazing.
I shot both photos using Canon 5D on tripod, using 16-35mm L lens.
Mel is a local DJ at Hamilton Community Radio, we randomly met him at Centre place in Hamilton. This video is purely for fun, there’s no story, no post-production, nothing is really related to the topic.
We just added some random footage we got from that day and put together a random video intro for Mel and community radio. Enjoy the show
